The brainchild of founding Board member/ founding president of TTOTA Lesley Garcia, was CKFTO's first ever large scale fundraiser. This drive sort to raise awareness of the needs of children in Trinidad and Tobago with disabilities; while at the same time Helping OrdinaryPeople Empower themselves to be all the could be by training and participating in a tri-atholon. Forty percent of the proceeds of this fundraiser established CKFTO's Sustainability Fund, another 40% directly towards the treatment costs for those children at the lowest financial tier and the final 20% towards the purchase of adaptive recreational equipment. Helen Pounder, Lou-Ann Maharaj and coach Jason Gooding worked tirelessly to train, mentor and find sponsorship for the would be athletes. We offer a heartfelt thanks to all Team Hope members for their vigor and advocacy, and look forward to future collaborations.
